Wilderness First Responder Recertification

Keep your certification current and practice life saving skills

About the Refreshers

The 24-hour WRC refreshes a current WFR with new research in wilderness medicine based on the Wilderness Medical Society Clinical Practice Guidelines and updated industry-standard guidelines set forth by the Wilderness Education Medicine Collaborative (WMEC). Course participants will review foundational knowledge and apply newly learned skills and guidelines via hands-on scenarios and simulations.

We offer our Wilderness First Responder Recertification Course (WRC) in Hybrid 2-Day formats. Our Hybrid WRC format meets the WMEC’s minimum requirement of 16 hours delivered in person and is devoted to hands-on, practical skills and simulations. The learning outcomes of the traditional and hybrid course formats are the same.

Pete is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and fun instructor. He really knows his stuff! I left the course feeling informed and excited about what I’d learned. He’s open to questions, is a flexible leader, and treats his students with respect and kindness. Highly recommend!
