About Creaks to Peaks
Creeks to Peaks Rescue Education is an instructor team that offers individuals and organizations Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder certifications in a diverse set of course structures. We are a small team and therefore have the freedom of flexibility.
Creeks to Peaks instructors are licensed to teach through our partners and are not curriculum developers. Our curriculum partners are Desert Mountain Medicine based in Leadville, CO. Their high-quality curriculum is regularly updated and compliant with all Wilderness Medicine Education Collaborative standards. This woman-owned organization is the industry leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion operating standards. We are proud to offer their fantastic curriculum and work closely with a company that holds itself to the highest of standards.
Our Team
Pete Kemery, W-EMT
Director & Lead Instructor
Pete lives for adventure and has shaped his lifestyle and professional career around it. Based in Durango, CO, he works as a wilderness medicine instructor, class V raft guide, ski patroller, professional rope rescue technician, and backcountry guide. In addition to his career, he also volunteers for Silverton Mountain Rescue and La Plata County SAR. He is an avid boater and skier and loves to travel the world. He is a passionate teacher and an endless student in all his pursuits.
