This Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course is held just 10 minutes from downtown Durango, CO on the beautiful Bar D Chuckwagon property. Class time will be held in the Wilderness Classroom, a large and comfortable commercial wall tent complete with a wood burning stove.

Course Description:

Our Wilderness First Aid course is designed to provide an individual with an introduction to wilderness medicine and the basic skills to treat the most common injuries and illnesses encountered in the wilderness. This program is appropriate for entry level professional guides and other non-medical people who want an awareness level understanding of wilderness medicine.

The 2-day (16-hour) Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course includes basic life support (CPR infant/child/adult & AED), Wilderness Anaphylaxis Training (WAT) and covers injuries and illnesses common when traveling or working in the backcountry.
